Full Day Ballestas Islands

We will meet at an agreed time at the Chaco port to board our boat. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes by boat, on the way we will know the famous Candelabra, which is clearly visible from the sea. It is a large geoglyph engraved on the slopes of a small hill in the Paracas peninsula, which origin and purpose has not yet been determined, but it was perhaps a signal that points to the Nazca lines or a lighthouse for navigators.

In order to protect penguins, seabirds, and seal colonies that inhabit the island, landing is prohibited. In any case, the boat will get close enough to appreciate the spectacular flora and fauna, the playful sea lions frequently approach the boats, filling the air with a chorus of barking. Hundreds and hundreds of friendly sea lions, Humboldt penguins diving expert dispute over space in rocky outcrops. Although it may seem strange that there are large colonies of penguins in the coastal desert region of Peru, their residence is possible thanks to the Peruvian current or Humboldt that flows from Antarctica, which originates from the outcrop of deep and therefore cold waters. After an hour enjoying the resident sights and sounds of the Ballestas Islands, we will head towards the shore, arriving in approximately 30 minutes to the port of Chaco.
