Pachacamac, Barranco & Chorrillos
On the way to the archaeological site of Pachacamac, your guide will offer you an orientation about the culture and people who lived there in their day.
With this private half-day program you will visit the local museum and its monuments. Visit the Temple of the Sun, the Old Temple, the Painted Temple, the Taulichumbi Palace and more.
Pachacamac was the largest pre-Hispanic ceremonial center on the Pacific coast of America. See monuments from the four known cultures that have occupied the site over time. Enjoy views of the sea from the Temple of the Sun, the highest point in Pachacamac.
Return to Lima and visit the district of Chorrillos, an area that played an important role in the war against Chile between 1879 and 1883. Then, continue to the Villa swamps and the Costa Verde beach circuit. You will take a panoramic tour of La Herradura beach and the shanty towns in the area.
Lastly, visit Barranco, where you’ll take a walk along the Bridge of Sighs, La Ermita church, and other buildings dating back to Lima’s colonial era.
